We want you to get the support you deserve.

Safeguarding, Behaviour and Welfare delivered in your context -

With years spent delivering front line safeguarding and education, followed by years leading those same services, The Safeguarding Group was started to address an obvious issue. When looking for appropriate welfare CPD, we found nothing that met the needs of our staff, in the context of our environment.

A modern approach -

The challenges young people are currently facing has moved on significantly, however the training and support offered to staff is struggling to keep up. The Safeguarding Group specialises in training about adolescents and young adults. Addressing these new challenges starts with great policies and procedures, is underpinned by context relevant training at all levels and ends with appropriate support and supervision to maintain a positive culture. As a training consultancy, we can help with every step.

As a service, we specialise in working with Further Education Provisions and Colleges. Even so, we love exploring and supporting all sectors that work with potentially vulnerable young people. If that sounds like you, we’d love the chance to have a chat with you about your training, consultancy or supervision needs.

Ben Beer -

With 15+ years experience working with potentially vulnerable children, young people and adults, Ben has amassed a significant back-catalogue of knowledge and skills to draw from when supporting clients. Having previously worked as a Leader in Further and Special Education and Local Authorities, a Police Officer, Care Worker and YOT Officer, Ben has a broad understanding of challenging behaviour, welfare and safeguarding in a number of settings.

Learn about our pricing:

  • Training is very bespoke in its nature.

Each setting has different needs, as well as a different volume of delivery. Challenging Behaviour Training in an SEN school with 50 staff looks very different to the same training at a College with 700 staff.

In essence, for quotes for training, please get in touch using our contact form with details about your requirements, or give us a ring.

    We base our quotes

  • Prices for consultancy are either based on a contract rate or day rate.

Individual pieces of work - policy writing, auditing, inspection prep etc. are priced based on resources required and time needed. This is normally an ‘all in’ rate, including all expenses and subsistence.

Longer contracts are generally priced per project on a day rate and are agreed during consultation.

  • Interim leadership contracts are priced on a rolling average day rate agreed on appointment. This is normally an ‘all in’ rate unless special expenses apply (flights etc.).

  • The Safeguarding Group offers practice supervision covering three main strands; Safeguarding, Behaviour and Leadership.

This is generally delivered remotely via Google Meets/Zoom/ Microsoft Teams etc.

Sessions are normally 45 minutes long and at a frequency that meets your needs.
